Flinders University's Innovative City Campus

Last updated 08 Feb, 2024

Flinders University marks a significant milestone with the opening of its newest addition, the city-based Flinders at Festival Plaza campus.

With Adelaide already recognised as one of the top 40 student cities in the world, this new campus raises the city’s reputation further with its combination of quality education, lifestyle, and opportunities.

A Campus Unlike Any Other

This cutting-edge, vertical campus located on North Terrace, is the first of its kind for South Australia, setting a new benchmark for higher education. Split over eight levels within the $1 billion One Festival Tower, the campus is designed with purpose and possibility in mind with collaborative learning areas to open-plan event spaces.

Positioned in a prime city location amongst future industries and technology precincts like the Adelaide BioMed City Innovation District and Lot Fourteen, the addition of the campus strengthens Adelaide's education sector, making it more attractive for investors while giving a boost to the city's economy with increased daily foot traffic.

Education Meets Innovation

With a capacity to welcome 5,000 students, the university will welcome its first cohort at the end of February as the first semester of 2024 commences.

The course curriculum at Flinders goes above and beyond traditional study, giving students a chance to engage with real-world challenges and solutions preparing students for the modern workforce.

Connecting Businesses with Tomorrow's Talent through the Capstone Industry Project

For businesses, the University’s Capstone Industry Project is an opportunity to tap into fresh ideas and innovative solutions from the brightest minds. This program invites businesses to present real-life challenges to a diverse group of students allowing them to gain real-world experience while working closely with your organisation, offering actionable solutions in return.

It’s a great way to link students with potential future employers and help them apply their academic knowledge in practical settings. The Capstone Industry Project is offered during semester one (March-June) and semester two (July-November).
