Adelaide Airport will welcome a wave of new international routes this year, marking an exciting time for Adelaide’s connectivity.
These new, resuming and upgraded routes will significantly contribute to the city’s visitor and business economy, bringing in extra tourists and opening new, more efficient trade routes.
New flights will commence from Adelaide to San Francisco via United Airlines, while Air New Zealand will introduce a seasonal service between Adelaide and Christchurch.
Direct flights to Guangzhou and Hong Kong will resume, and flights to Dubai will be upgraded.

AEDA General Manager Greg Ratsch says the flight boosts will strengthen the city's economy.
“This move is set to inject millions of dollars into the city economy, with tourists staying in our hotels, eating at our hospitality venues and shopping at our local businesses,” Mr Ratsch says.
“These direct flights in and out of Adelaide are also fantastic because they position the city as a key destination to visit, while also opening up exciting new trade routes for small businesses looking to grow and expand their reach.”

Fantastic Foot Traffic: New Visitor Economy Report
According to AEDA’s latest Visitor Economy Report, 2.2 million passengers touched down in Adelaide between January and March this year.
The number of domestic travellers was about 1.9 million, while international traffic volumes were 264,000 – a 10 per cent increase from the same time last year.
International passenger numbers now account for almost 15 per cent of the passenger share.
Domestically, visitors from New South Wales and Victoria spent less money; however, expenditure from Queensland and Western Australia increased.
