Join AEDA's Advisory Committee
Help shape the future of Adelaide, and represent the views of its constituents, by being part of AEDA's Advisory Committee. There are three positions available on the Committee, which is a conduit between the AEDA Board and broader city stakeholders. The Committee ensures the views of a wide range of industry sectors and businesses are provided to the AEDA Board. As a member you will represent the views of city businesses within your sector.
Adelaide CBD poised for major spending during 2025 Gather Round
More than $60 million is expected to change hands in the CBD during the 2025 AFL Gather Round, new AEDA data shows. Around $61,157,120 is forecast to be spent between Thursday, 10 April to Sunday, 13 April, representing a 25 per cent increase in comparison to the typical Thursday-to-Sunday spend of $48,955,769 in the city. Transformative tourism: How millennials hold the power
Millennials will be the most powerful consumer cohort in history for the tourism sector, according to industry expert Peter Tullin of REMIX Summits. Mr Tullin, who is speaking at the AEDA Business Summit on 20 May, says operators need to adapt to these changes to ensure a thriving business.
Make Music Day: EOI
City venues can be part of the Make Music Day mini festival by hosting a gig on Saturday, 21 June 2025. Venues can make the most of the festival by giving performers an opportunity to play micro-gigs around town, which will be promoted by the City of Adelaide (CoA). If support is needed, the CoA can match interested performers with venues that haven’t hosted music events before.

Not-for-profit organisations can apply for AEDA funding to assist in the staging of medium and major events between 1 July 2025 and 30 July 2028. The Events and Sponsorship Program aims to support events that contribute to a vibrant and dynamic city experience, drive visitation and spend, and support local businesses. Funding may be provided for up to three years. Applications close 12am ACST Monday, 21 April 2025.
Free wellbeing workshop for small businesses
Small business owners will be able to access a fully-subsidised wellbeing workshop—worth $8,990—thanks to the Government of South Australia’s Office for Small and Family Business. The Be Well Foundations is a full-day workshop designed to strengthen mental health and resilience.
Navigating Economic Uncertainty Strategies for Tourism Businesses online workshop
Learn simple, yet powerful financial methods to assess how your business is fairing in today's economic environment. Topics covered include understanding your costs, calculating your gross margin, finding your break-even point and business optimisation. It is on Monday, 28 April 2025 from 11:30 am - 1:00 pm Cost: $10 TiCSA Members (inc. GST) | $20 Non-Members (inc. GST).
Explore the city based on your vibe
City Feels is a world-first app centred around real time sentiment data that drives city engagement and experience. The app will be live across the city until 14 April, giving people a new way to explore Adelaide based on the way they are feeling or how they would like to feel. Users enter their current vibe, or how they would like to feel, to get real-time suggestions for events, venues and live activations that match their mood.
Team bonding at Urban Kitchen
Rundle Mall is hosting a series of Urban Kitchen sessions as part of Tasting Australia in Rundle Mall next month. At just $12 a ticket, your team can book a session to experience a taste of South Australia's culinary delights. AFW puts local designer on national stage
Local Adelaide label House of Campell took Melbourne Fashion Festival crowds by storm last month, with the brand’s Creative Director crediting AEDA's ADL Fashion Week (AFW) event for making her dreams a reality. Abby Potter was the only South Australian designer to present her collection, L’après, at the Block Party Runway x Melbourne Every Bit Different event, receiving widespread acclaim for her innovative designs and creative direction.
Park Lands Expressions of Interest
CoA is inviting EOIs from community and commercial organisations to lease and activate Bonython Park Kiosk, North Adelaide Railway Station, and two locations in Victoria Park Grandstand. EOIs close on Tuesday 29 April 2025.
