Early bird tickets on sale for the 2025 AEDA Business Summit
Early bird tickets for the 2025 AEDA Business Summit are now on sale, with exclusive discounts available for single and group bookings.
The Global Ambitions, Local Foundations: Defining Adelaide’s Next Era AEDA Business Summit gathers influential leaders, entrepreneurs and thinkers to discuss the city’s economic future.
The event will be headlined by keynote speakers Simon Kuestenmacher, Director and Co-Founder, The Demographics Group; Peter Tullin, Co-Founder, REMIX Summits; and Jennie Zeiher, President, Rising Sun Pictures; who will share their expertise on shaping Adelaide, now and going forward.
Visitor Experience Centre Request for Tender
A section of the State Library of South Australia has been flagged to house a new technology-driven, interactive Visitor Experience Centre, with AEDA now seeking to engage a design team to support its delivery.
Festival season brings record foot traffic for the East End
The city’s East End experienced its biggest weekend since the COVID-19 pandemic, with new Adelaide Economic Development Agency (AEDA) data revealing approximately 249,700 visitors to the precinct between 7-10 March 2025. The data highlights a significant surge in foot traffic, with this year’s numbers showing a 52 per cent increase in comparison to the same weekend in 2024.
Get your business game-ready for the rugby
Get your business ready to capitalise on an expected economic boost of more than $12.5 million when the British & Irish Lions clash at the Adelaide Oval on Saturday, 12 July.
With more than 50,000 people expected to attend the match, including 20,000 rugby fans from around the world, traders can reap the rewards of the extra foot traffic and expenditure expected in the city.
CBD and North Adelaide traders can take advantage of increased visitation during or after the game by extending trading hours to meet the demands of keen punters. Businesses can now register their British & Irish Lions special events, offers and updates to opening hours for promotion on Experience Adelaide. Participating businesses are eligible to receive a complimentary promotional pack to support activation efforts.
AEDA appoints three new members to its advisory committee
AEDA has appointed three new members to its Advisory Committee to further amplify efforts to support city businesses, main streets, and precincts.
Fashion stylist and producer Mirella Romano will serve for two years on the Advisory Committee, while CYBR Chief Executive Jasmin Ilic and CareWindow National Sales Manager Alfredo Cabada each secured a three-year term.
The Committee, spearheaded by McGees Property Sales and Leasing Associate Director Tim Pozza, provides valuable guidance to the AEDA Board.
Connecting with artists for SALA
The South Australian Living Artists Festival (SALA) has launched its free platform to help local visual artists find suitable venues for exhibiting their work, and vice versa, during the event, which runs throughout August. Users can create an artist or venue profile so their artwork/display space is discoverable to others. The noticeboard will close midnight on Monday, 28 April 2025.
Unlock AEDA sponsorship for events across the city
Not-for-profit organisations can apply for AEDA sponsorship to assist in the staging of medium and major projects between 1 July 2025 and 30 July 2028. The Events and Sponsorship Program aims to support events that contribute to a vibrant and dynamic city experience, drive visitation and spend, and support local businesses. Funding may be provided for up to three years. Applications close 12am ACST Monday, 21 April 2025.
Scan and win with the Adelaide Celebrates Glass City Trail
Traders participating in AEDA’s Adelaide Celebrates Glass trail are capitalising on increased foot traffic from the Chihuly in the Botanic Garden exhibition. By offering Chihuly-inspired products and experiences, they are attracting visitors to their businesses and boosting sales. As part of the trail, AEDA is hosting a competition where customers can visit participating traders, scan a QR code at each venue and enter their details for a chance to win a prize pack valued at over $1000. The prize includes a luxurious overnight stay with breakfast at Crowne Plaza Adelaide, along with a JamFactory gift pack. T&Cs apply.
