AEDA has released its latest Q1 2025 Visitor Economy Report, which shows Adelaide’s tourism sector has had a positive three months off the back of the festival season. Hotel room bookings broke records, while Adelaide outpaced hotel room occupancy in comparison to all other major capital cities. Cathay Pacific resumes direct Adelaide flights
Cathay Pacific will resume direct flights from Hong Kong to Adelaide three times a week in November, generating tens of millions of dollars for the State’s economy. The flights will start on Tuesday, 11 November, following a hiatus due to the COVID-19 outbreak. Tourism expenditure from passengers on the flights is estimated to pump $17 million into the state’s economy each year, with the value of freight exports estimated to be $15 million annually.
