Small Business Week 2026 is a statewide program running 17–21 August 2026, providing South Australian small and family businesses with practical advice, expert insights, networking and capability-building opportunities.

  • Who it's for: South Australian small and family businesses at different stages, including businesses starting, growing, adapting or planning ahead.
  • What's on offer: Workshops, networking, expert sessions and online content covering AI, digital capability, business continuity, succession, sustainability, exporting, raising capital and employment.
  • Key opportunities: Small Business Expo, Meet the Buyer 2026, Raising Capital 101, Going Global: Export Readiness, Women in Business Breakfast and more.
  • Dates: 17–21 August 2026.

  • Why it matters: This is particularly useful for businesses looking for practical capability development, connections, government procurement opportunities or expert advice.

  • National Science Week runs from 15–23 August 2026, celebrating science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) through events and activities across Australia.
  • In South Australia, National Science Week is delivered by Inspiring SA and the National Science Week Committee, with more than 100 events and activities taking place across the state.
  • The program offers a wide range of ways for South Australians to get involved, including hands-on activities, talks, exhibitions, workshops, virtual experiences, science demonstrations and family-friendly events.
  • Events cover a broad range of topics, including space and astronomy, environment and nature, health and medical science, innovation and technology, Indigenous knowledge, agriculture, energy and transport, and more.
  • National Science Week provides an opportunity for South Australians to discover the science happening in their own backyard and engage with researchers, educators, organisations and science-focused businesses.

  • Feast Festival is a major annual cultural event in Adelaide that contributes to the city’s events calendar and visitor economy through a program of arts, culture, and community engagement.
  • The festival provides a platform for businesses, food vendors, and community organisations to participate in a high-visibility public event environment, supporting direct engagement with festival audiences and contributing to precinct activation and local trading activity.
  • Participation as a stallholder enables businesses to showcase products and services within a large-scale cultural program that attracts significant local and interstate visitation.
  • Stallholder applications are open for the upcoming festival program.
