ADL Fashion Week Returns in 2026 with New Direction

Last updated 26 May, 2026

Adelaide City will once again transform into its own catwalk as ADL Fashion Week returns from 7–11 October, inviting audiences to experience fashion up close.

Presented by the Adelaide Economic Development Agency (AEDA), a subsidiary of the City of Adelaide, since 2022, ADL Fashion Week is Adelaide’s premier fashion festival which continues to expand, showcasing the city’s creative and innovative designs to the world stage.

With a strong vision and strategic direction from AEDA, ADL Fashion Week brings audiences closer to the designers, makers and creative industries shaping South Australia’s fashion culture. It also continues to support South Australia’s fashion industry while creating broader economic and cultural benefits across the city.

Now in its fourth year, ADL Fashion Week has continued to demonstrate the importance of showcasing Adelaide-based talent. A significant venture for AEDA, the festival demonstrates a strong focus on events and opportunities that boost and enhance city-based economy and interest.

“ADL Fashion Week is a celebration of Adelaide’s creative heartbeat. It’s a platform for the designers and brands crafting quality product here, paired with the food and hospitality scene Adelaide does so well,” AEDA Executive Manager Marketing and Tourism, Michael Rossi says.

Continuing this exciting growth, ADL Fashion Week 2026 will shine a spotlight on the people, processes and places shaping Adelaide’s vibrant fashion scene, celebrating the creativity and craftsmanship woven throughout the city.

The overarching strategic direction – explored under the theme Fashion Up Close – will examine how individual style emerges through community, connection and creative expression – revealing the stories, inspiration and artistry behind the designs.

“When fashion is shown up close, it becomes something to understand and value, not just something to watch,” Mr Rossi says.

Supported by the South Australian Fashion Industry Association (SAFIA), ADL Fashion Week will showcase the individuality, innovation and collaboration thriving across Adelaide’s creative industries.

“South Australia is home to an extraordinary depth of creative talent, and ADL Fashion Week offers an important opportunity to bring that work into view, celebrating the strength, sophistication, and distinct perspective of our local fashion community,” SAFIA Board Chair, Dr Nathan James Crane says.
