Calling All Passengers: Qatar Airways Returns to South Australian Skies

Last updated 21 May, 2026

Qatar Airways is set to resume services in Adelaide from mid-2026, reconnecting South Australia with one of the world’s leading international aviation networks.

The airline is scheduled to recommence daily Adelaide–Doha flights from 16 June, following the broader reinstatement of services across Australia, including Brisbane one month earlier.

The resumed Adelaide service is currently planned to operate through 15 September, with ongoing schedules subject to global and regional conditions. Qatar Airways has also introduced a flexible rebooking policy, offering complimentary date changes for eligible bookings made during this period.

Passengers can expect the airline’s award-winning inflight experience aboard the modern Boeing 777-300ER, featuring Wi-Fi, extensive entertainment options and tailored dining selections catering to a range of dietary requirements.

As part of this resumed service and broader expansion in South Australia, Qatar Airways is also expected to reintroduce popular routes, including Adelaide to Auckland, providing travelers with greater choice and improved international connectivity.

Qatar Airways continues to strengthen its global network, with plans to operate services to more than 150 international destinations by mid‑May.

Flights to and from Doha are operating via dedicated air corridors coordinated with the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority, supporting reliable international access for Adelaide and South Australia.

The return of services is also expected to support key export industries, providing improved access to global markets for premium South Australian products including seafood, beef, lamb and wine.
