AEDA Data and Insights Team Hits 300+ Information Requests Milestone
The Adelaide Economic Development Agency (AEDA)’s Data and Insights team has reached a significant team milestone, responding to more than 300 requests for information in one year.
In Brief:
- AEDA’s Data and Insights team responded to over 300 information requests in one year, providing businesses with information to help with business plans, expansion or relocation.
- The team provides valuable data on city economy, consumer trends, demographics, and more through market reports and interactive dashboards.
- Commercial agents, like Tim Pozza, use AEDA's data to help businesses make informed decisions, such as assessing the potential of locations in Adelaide.
McGees Property Sales and Leasing Director Tim Pozza has used the team’s facts and figures to assist clients looking to open in Adelaide with their business decisions.
“As a commercial CBD agent, we are often the first point of contact when organisations begin their foray into seeking either a retail tenancy or office in the City of Adelaide,” Mr Pozza says.
“They often arrive with multiple brochures of properties believing they have all the information, but it is not until I go through the large amount of data available through AEDA and the ACC that they truly understand what the team at AEDA can offer.”
Mr Pozza says he recently had a national organisation in Adelaide reach out to him about looking to secure a high-profile tenancy in Rundle Mall.

He says the Data and Insights team was highly researched and provided detailed analysis about several areas about the City economy, which has helped him pitch Adelaide as an attractive place to do business
“Using the data provided from... the AEDA team they can quickly analyse the data (which provides) a high-level report on the potential of the store succeeding in Adelaide," Mr Pozza says.
The Data & Insights team, which regularly looks into consumer expenditure, foot-traffic, population trends, demographics, hotel occupancy, tenancy levels, employment rates and business trends, also provides market reports and PowerBI Dashboards available online.
The Interactive Economic Dashboards display key metrics for the City of Adelaide, looking into areas such as footfall, expenditure, mobility, parking data, industry figures as well as information about the local economy.
AEDA Economic Research Advisor Jordon Tomopoulos says city stakeholders can request further information from the team through AEDA Website.
“As we prepare for the new year, let data and insights be the compass that guides our business decisions—transforming uncertainty into strategy and setting the stage for growth and success," Mr Tomopolous says.
