South Terrace’s Hotel Alba will be transformed into a poolside runway as part of its Summer Pool Party on the final day of ADL Fashion Week (AFW).
Local labels such as Acler, Significant Other, DÈRMA Department, Vacay Swimwear The Wolf Gang, Binny, couture+love+madness, Frida Las Vegas and Katya Komarova will be on show at the event, styled by Mirella Romano.
National labels including Aje, Viktoria & Woods, Calibre, Politix and Effie Kats will also showcase collections.
Family-owned Rundle Mall retailer Shades, celebrating 40 years in business this December, will round out the looks with premium global eyewear trends.
Hotel Alba General Manager Samantha Farrington says the pool party, as well as the broader AFW event, is a chance to celebrate local brands and locations.
“We loved being part of ADL Fashion Week last year, and the overwhelming response showed us how much Adelaide appreciates premium fashion experiences,” says Ms Farrington.
“This year, we’re thrilled to transform our space once again and showcase even more amazing designers.”
The Summer Pool Party will celebrate the essence of summer fashion, combining sun, style and sophistication.
Guests will be welcomed with a refreshing gin spritz on arrival, followed by signature canapés and a two-hour drink package from Hotel Alba’s restaurant ela.
For every ticket sold, 10 per cent of proceeds will be donated to Jodi Lee Foundation—a South Australian charity dedicated to raising awareness and educating Australians about bowel cancer.
Official AFW hair and makeup partners Clip Joint and Media Makeup Academy will craft looks that capture the distinct style and essence of every label on the runway.
DÈRMA Department, a Rundle Street’s luxury label, will showcase its opulent, timeless pieces.
