Perks CEO Joins AEDA Board as Advisory Committee Representative
James Black has been appointed to the Adelaide Economic Development Agency (AEDA) Board as the Advisory Committee Representative.
James is currently the CEO of Perks Accountants & Wealth Advisers and has a breadth of knowledge and expertise spanning across financial services and technology both locally and internationally, having relocated to London before returning to Adelaide.
AEDA Chair Nikki Govan said James brings a unique skillset gained in senior executive, board and committee roles that will help AEDA reach its strategic objectives.
“With his proven financial management, technology and innovation, risk and compliance, and strategy development experience, our board believes James has the expertise and background that will see him add great value to AEDA,” said Ms Govan.
James and Perks are committed to the city’s future with James having recently moved the Perks team into the CBD.
“We recently moved the Perks business, a team of 230 people, into 81 Flinders St and it’s been one of the best decisions we’ve made as an organisation,” said James.
“I bring an agenda of economic growth through attracting private business into the city. SA is a private business economy and I believe there is no better place for private business to set up office than in the city.”
The appointment is for one year as per the AEDA Charter (12 March 2024 – 11 March 2025).
