Welcome to Adelaide Program

Adelaide’s vibrant, buzzing CBD is an ideal location to grow your business. The city offers quality office space, a central location from which to draw customers and a workforce, diverse amenities for your staff and access to universities and innovation nodes unmatched elsewhere in South Australia.

About the Program

The Adelaide Economic Development Agency (AEDA) works closely with businesses, either opening their doors or relocating to the CBD and North Adelaide, through its Welcome to Adelaide program. This program can provide assistance with site selection, data to inform your business case, media and promotion opportunities and executive connections. At a time when workforce attraction and retention is more important than ever, AEDA is able to support your staff to be involved in the life of our city.

AEDA can offer bespoke 'Welcome to Adelaide' tote bags, designed to make your introduction to the city as seamless and enjoyable as possible. Inside each tote, you'll discover a carefully crafted fold-out that includes a personalised map highlighting essential amenities, retail, and services in close proximity to your office. We've also secured exclusive introductory offers for your team to locations such as Adelaide Aquatic Centre, Rundle Mall, Adelaide Central Market, UPark and the North Adelaide Golf Course.

Testimonials

Perks Accountants & Wealth Advisers

After outgrowing its Parkside office, the state's leading financial services firm seamlessly relocated its 180-member team to a new office spanning four levels on Flinders Street in the CBD in late 2022. This choice was made to support their increasing CBD-based clientele, ensuring proximity and accessibility, while also offering its team easy access to all that the city has to offer.

Perks Chairman Mark Roderick
Moving our (then) 180-people team into the CBD, after decades of being a fixture in the Parkside area, was a monumental undertaking, from both a people and logistics point of view.

Our move to the City of Adelaide was all about our people, so welcoming our team members and helping them to navigate their new surrounds from day one was always going to be an essential part of our successful move. The Adelaide Economic Development Agency was such a crucial partner in helping us facilitate that sense of welcome through its wonderful 'Welcome to Adelaide' program. The program included goody bags, orientation to essential services, parking discounts, retail and hospitality vouchers and the hosting of a team lunch at our office.

Our ongoing relationship with the AEDA Team and its excellent Experience Adelaide hub help our Team to stay engaged, informed and above all enjoy our fantastic location and all that the city has to offer.

Fivecast

In early 2023, Fivecast, a globally renowned provider of digital intelligence solutions, strategically relocated its head office and 100-member staff to Hutt Street in Adelaide's CBD. The move was driven by a desire to tap into the talent emerging from local universities and actively contribute to the vibrancy of the city's community.

Fivecast
Fivecast recently relocated to Hutt Street in Adelaide's CBD from Kent Town and we couldn't be happier with the support we received from the Adelaide Economic Development Agency's 'Welcome to Adelaide' program.

The 'Welcome to Adelaide' kit provided by AEDA has been a wonderful introduction to local amenities and attractions. Our staff have taken advantage of introductory offers at places like the Adelaide Aquatic Centre, Adelaide Central Market and UPark. It's made their transition to the city and the new Hutt Street office incredibly smooth.

The 'Welcome to Adelaide' packs have been so well received and added so much to the experience of RAA staff as we relocated into the heart of the city. From the introductory offers, information on amenities, events and activities these packs have really made our people feel genuinely connected with our CBD and excited to explore all it has to offer.

Our goal was for staff to feel excited to work, play and enjoy the city. With thanks to AEDA we have found a fantastic place for RAA to call home in the CBD.
